“Text to Spreadsheet” (“the Extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use our browser extension. By using the Extension, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

1. Google Account Authorization

When you authorize the Extension to access your Google account, we collect and use the following information:

• Read-only access to Google Drive: With your explicit permission, the Extension can access your Google Drive to show you the list of your Google Sheets spreadsheets.
• Write access to Google Sheets: With your explicit permission, the Extension can access your explicitly selected Google Sheets to add data of your choice.

2. User-Selected Data

The Extension processes the data you select from a web page. This data is temporarily processed locally on your computer and then sent directly to the specified Google Sheet. We do not collect or process your data.

3. Non-Personal Data

We may collect anonymous usage data, such as error logs or performance metrics, to improve the Extension’s functionality. This data does not include personal or identifiable information.

To improve the functionality and user experience of the Extension, we collect anonymous analytics data, including session ID, user ID, and usage metrics. Specifically, we track events such as downloads, installations, uninstalls, authorizations, logouts, activations and deactivations of the Extension, and user interactions within the Extension, such as clicks on search suggestions and buttons (“Search”, “Select” and others) when choosing a spreadsheet and sheets, save text requests and successful save events. This data is aggregated and used solely for analyzing performance, identifying issues, and enhancing the Extension’s features. No personally identifiable information is stored or shared with third parties.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

• Transferring user-selected data to the specified Google Sheet in your Google Drive as instructed by you.
• Enhancing the Extension’s features and performance.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and Google policies.

We do not use any data to develop, improve, or train generalized/non-personalized AI and/or ML models, nor do we transfer it to third parties for similar purposes.

Data Storage and Security

• Temporary Data Storage: The Extension temporarily processes the data selected by you locally on your device. No data is stored on our servers.
• Google Drive and Sheets: Any data transferred is stored securely within your Google Drive, subject to Google’s privacy and security practices.
• Security Measures: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal information to third parties.

• Authorization Revocation: You can revoke the Extension’s access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings.
